my chosen genre - indie

The genre that I have chosen is indie rock, with the subgenre of indie pop. It is thought of as quite an underground genre as it is not mainstream, and is unknown to the majority of people. It derived from rock but is now a genre of its own. Most of the artists being from independent labels.
